Summary/Abstract: This publication presents a pilot study aimed at exploring issues related to the communication of Polish Police activities on social media. Attention was focused on selected channels on the YouTube platform. Three content creators were analysed who, due to the diversity of published material in terms of form, content and perspective (the creators presented include an active police officer, a former police officer, and a citizen verifying the compliance of service actions with applicable regulations), present a broad picture of the communication of officers' and Police units' activities in Poland. Observation carried out between October and November 2023 made it possible to determine the reach and subject matter of this content as well as audience engagement, reflected in the number of comments and reactions under individual videos. This analysis draws attention to the important aspect of expanding the media image of the world to include social media, which actively participate in presenting the activities of many uniformed services, including the Police. The conclusions of this study may be a starting point for in-depth research that would allow an assessment of the impact of messages published on social media on the image of such organisations. They could also, in the future, contribute to a better understanding of the role of social media content creators in shaping the image of the Polish Police in media discourse.
