Summary/Abstract: International relations are dynamic processes in which states are key actors and in which there are no final solutions. At a certain stage of development of these relations, a world order is established, which is called unipolar, bipolar and multipolar. The polarity of the world order is primarily determined by the relationship between the world powers, which have the greatest influence on international relations. Since the end of World War II, all three forms of world order have changed, with the establishment of multipolarity, which is underway. Since 2006, Serbia has been an independent and sovereign state again. Serbia achieved independence and sovereignty in the process of the disintegration of the former SFR Yugoslavia. This disintegration has not ended precisely on the territory of Serbia, because the process of seizing Kosovo and Metohija is ongoing. The aim of this paper is to point out the foundations of the geopolitics of the Republic of Serbia in the process of creating a multipolar world order, which would contribute to the realization of its national interests and the protection of national values. The basic hypothesis from which the research started is: the Republic of Serbia is at a geopolitical crossroads, which requires adaptation to the conditions of the multipolar world order. In reaching the goal and confirming the hypothesis, scientific methods were used, primarily: comparative, content analysis and case study.
