Summary/Abstract: Subjects of international law, states and international organizations, enter into international relations through their bodies. The system of bodies for the international representation of states in its initial form was established in Vienna Congress in 1815. Today, state constitutions determine which body can represent that subject and in what capacity. There are various divisions of these bodies according to functions, properties, subjects, etc. Also, multilateral diplomacy allows states to harmonize their own foreign policy goals with collective interests and fundamental principles of international law through simultaneous communication with numerous actors. Coordination between three or more international actors has proven to be the most effective model for overcoming crises and implementing joint plans through solidarity and clearly defined rules. These relationships are realized through their institutional structure, which, as a rule, consists of four key elements: a general (plenary) body, an executive body, an administrative apparatus, and auxiliary bodies. The founding treaty establishing an international organization prescribe compentencies of each body. In the Republic of Serbia, the issue of maintaining international relations is regulated by the Law on Foreign Affairs. In the 20th century, the emergence of the phenomenon of globalization led to changes in the established ways of functioning of the international market, but also in a number of other social relations. Since the end of World War II, with the support of newly established international institutions and multinational companies, which this system greatly benefits, globalization trends have developed drastically, but over time, the negative effects of globalization have also begun to be felt. The impact of globalization and the so-called fourth technological revolution is also felt in diplomacy, changing the traditional ways of performing this activity. The aim of the paper is to show, using the methods of analysis and deduction, and the historical method, to what extent globalization has influenced contemporary diplomacy.
