Summary/Abstract: HUM Data Lab operates as part of Estonia’s Research and Cultural Data Infrastructure. The lab aims to support data-intensive humanities research, the reuse of cultural data and the description of transparent and reproducible workflows. To achieve these aims, the HUM Data Lab team organised a cultural data hackathon on 17–19 April 2026 at the Estonian Literary Museum in Tartu, inviting interested participants to experiment with cultural and research data over the course of one weekend. This article provides an overview of the event and presents lessons learned for organising events of this kind.
