Summary/Abstract: The article examines the Proposal for a Regulation establishing European Business Wallets as the next stage in the development of the EU digital identity framework following the amendment of Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 by means of eIDAS 2.0. It analyses the objectives, legal basis, and core functionalities of the European Business Wallets, with a view to showing how it can ease administrative burdens, facilitate secure cross-border identification, and promote the competitiveness of the internal market.
