Summary/Abstract: Irina Dragomir is already the most famous student of her teacher, artist Alexandru Rădvan, whose solo exhibition, entitled "Skin on Skin", took place at the beginning of 2024 at the Constanţa Art Museum. In the logic of her artistic approach, after the period of studies at UNArte Bucharest, where her mentor's lesson was well assimilated, Irina followed her passion and the results began to show. Thus, soon the first high-visibility solo exhibition took place, and in 2022, the entire Contemporary Art Pavilion at Art Safari was dedicated to her."Based on a true story", what other title could the exhibition have had at the Constanța Art Museum? Her self-referential painting carries within it the seeds of a valuable artist, whose inspiration does not take credit for different trends, but something much more authentic and intimate, namely, her own feelings. What if we think about the fact that the first image that comes to mind when we talk about painting is that of a female model, while female artists are so underrecognized in the history of art? From this paradox we can begin to decipher Irina's works and I believe that an incursion based on a true story is the best tool to bring the audience closer to her painting.
