Summary/Abstract: Sentences of the type ono grzmi in the local dialect of one village in Lesser Poland. The subject of this article are sentences like Ono grzmi; Ono się błyska occurring in dialect syntax. The sentences express the same content as in the general language sentences: Grzmi. Błyska się. In general Polish, therefore, they are subjectless sentences, while in dialects the position of the subject is taken by the semantically empty pronoun ono. The basis for the analysis are dialect texts collected in the Lesser Poland village of Rzepiennik Strzyżewski. The selected sentences are analysed from a semantic and formal perspective.
