Summary/Abstract: Noun in dialectological studies: a historiographical aspect. The article presents a historiographical analysis of noun research in Ukrainian dialectology from the late 18th century. The study systematizes theoretical and methodological approaches to studying nouns in Ukrainian dialects and identifies gaps in current scholarly understanding. The paper demonstrates that while morphological aspects of dialectal nouns have been thoroughly studied, particularly in the southwestern dialects, semantic features and systemic relations between nouns in dialectal speech remain understudied. The research highlights the lack of comprehensive studies on nouns in the Dniester dialect and suggests promising directions for future dialectological research. The study employs a systematic approach to analyzing scientific sources, combining chronological and problem-thematic principles of material organization.
