Summary/Abstract: In the poems of Bahaettin Karakoç, one of the poets of the Republican Era, it is evident that the thematic framework is largely shaped around the people and geography of Anatolia. In the poet's works, Anatolia is treated as a central element in its geographical, cultural, and social dimensions. Nature, people, folk songs, popular beliefs, daily life, and traditions are among the fundamental elements of this thematic framework. The experiences of the Anatolian people, such as joy, pain, patience, and faith, are prominent themes in the poems. It can be said that these elements are expressed with an observational sensitivity, without idealization. In this sense, the Anatolian people are treated as living, feeling beings in Karakoç's poems. Karakoç's understanding of poetry is shaped by the possibilities of modern poetry, drawing on the tradition of folk literature. Traditional folk sayings and cultural elements are reinterpreted in the poet's style with a modern understanding of language. Individual sensitivity, Anatolia's cultural identity, and the interaction of collective memory are evident in the poems. Descriptions of nature, folkloric elements, and observations about the geography of Anatolia can be considered important elements in the formation of the poet's poetic identity. This study examines how Anatolian identity is constructed in Karakoç's poems in the context of folk beliefs, geographical and cultural elements, and how these elements are brought together within the poetic structure.
