INSIGHTS INTO THE ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE OF LAW ENFORCEMENT INITIAL TRAINING SCHOOLS

Summary/Abstract: The study attempts to identify, exemplify and explain the significance of the formal organizational culture components of the organization training the law enforcement officers. The approach is descriptive and interpretive and is based on unstructured data collected as an observer-participant in the educational organization under research, as well as on the study of official written documents. Moreover, the study is an ethnographic approach that aims to display an educational community in its entirety, with all those particular organizational culture elements which raise awareness to the individualized and distinguishable nature of the organization as compared to other training institutions.
