Summary/Abstract: The primary objective of this article is to underscore the significance of understanding and adhering to safety regulations concerning the handling of firearms by police officers during official duties or shooting sessions. Within the framework of operational missions and specialized interventions, strict compliance with safety norms is essential to prevent unintended incidents and to safeguard the lives and physical integrity of both police personnel and civilians. The article outlines the applicable legal provisions, the categories of firearms in use, and the proper handling procedures for issued weapons. Furthermore, it addresses key aspects related to personnel training and individual accountability in the management of firearms. The study highlights the necessity of standardizing these procedures and proposes avenues for enhancing current practices.
