Summary/Abstract: In this text the author is concerned with Quine's conceptions of ontological and epistemological relativity. By rejecting main suppositions of logical positivism (or dogmas, as Quine calls them) Quine developed his holism which was under strong infl uence of pragmatism and naturalism. So, the main thesis of the article is that conceptual (holistic) framework is crucial for understanding the notions of ontological and epistemological relativity. Because of diff erent idioms of quantifi cation and diff erent idioms of identity it is impossible to have radical interpretation from one language to another. Also, that implies that it is impossible to discover, in total, ontological and epistemological suppositions that speaker of that radically diff erent language has. By this the author tries to show that conceptual relativity is the foundation of Quine s ontological and epistemological relativity.
