Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to present an interesting and anthropologically significant sporting and cultural event – the Games of Traditional Sports. Using research methods and techniques relevant to anthropology of sport, such as participant observation, literature analysis, and, additionally, netnography, the authors present the results of their own observations conducted during the 5th TAFISA World Sports for All Games in Šiauliai, Lithuania. They describe the event and then analyze its significance, placing it in the context of significant contemporary phenomena – multiculturalism and intercultural integration, for which traditional sports are a valuable tool as a cultural link between people, regaining importance worldwide. The authors demonstrate the cultural significance of such events in the context of celebrating cultural diversity through participation in sport, especially traditional sports
