Summary/Abstract: This study aimed to examine the importance of collaboration between parents and speech-language pathologists, as well as the impact of parental involvement on the development of children's speech and language skills. The study included 60 participants, comprising 30 speech-language pathologists and 30 parents. Data were collected using two questionnaires specifically designed for parents and speech-language pathologists and analyzed using descriptive statistics and the chi-square test. The results showed that parents had positive perceptions of speech-language therapy, understood its purpose, and considered it essential for their child's progress. In contrast, speech-language pathologists believed that parents were not sufficiently informed and that there was room for greater parental involvement in therapy. Statistically significant differences were found between parents and speech-language pathologists in their assessment of collaboration during therapy (χ² = 49.091; p=0.000), with parents evaluating the collaboration more positively. Statistically significant differences were also found regarding the perceived impact of parental involvement on improving children's speech and language skills (χ² = 5.455; p = 0.020), with speech-language pathologists placing greater emphasis on the importance of parental involvement. The findings indicate the need to further develop a collaborative approach in clinical practice to provide higher quality support for children with speech and language difficulties.
