The Problem of Regime Change in the Light of the History of the Theory of Just War

Summary/Abstract: The paper sets out to present an outline of the problem of regime change against the backdrop of just war tradition. Although regime change as a title for a justified use of violence in international relations does not seem to hold significant place within just war thinking, the complexity of the European thinking on war reveals some strategies for justification of the interventions based on the universalistic concepts that may lead to a forcible change of regime in certain conditions.
