Summary/Abstract: This review study emphasizes the significance of health economics and cost analyses in developing effective strategies to address rising costs in the healthcare sector. Particularly in healthcare services, cost analysis methods are employed to ensure the more efficient use of limited resources. The study aims to provide valuable insights for decision-makers by explaining health economics evaluation methods and comparing costs and benefits. Economic evaluation in healthcare involves comparing the costs and outcomes of alternative treatment methods to determine which options are more efficient. Various analyses, such as cost-benefit analysis and cost-effectiveness analysis, are utilized as decision-support tools in this context. While cost-benefit analysis offers a broader evaluation to enhance societal welfare, cost-effectiveness analysis takes a narrower perspective, focusing on identifying the most costeffective solution within a limited budget. The study also highlights the importance of other economic evaluation methods, such as cost-minimization analysis and cost-utility analysis, in identifying the most cost-efficient alternatives in the healthcare sector. These methods play a critical role in ensuring the sustainability of healthcare services and preventing resource waste. In conclusion, health economic evaluations emerge as fundamental tools in shaping health policies and improving the efficiency of healthcare delivery. Efficient resource utilization can only be achieved through the appropriate selection and implementation of cost and benefit analysis methods. Therefore, this review, enriched with examples, is expected to serve as a guide for researchers interested in this field.
