Summary/Abstract: RESEARCH OBJECTIVE: The aim of the article is to analyze the role of the media in shaping public environmental awareness in two dimensions: political-energy and digital, in relation to the postulates of the encyclical Laudato si' (2015) by Pope Franciszek. RESEARCH RESULTS: In Polish media discourse, economic and political narratives dominate at the expense of the ethical perspective advocated in Laudato si'. Disinformation and greenwashing remain significant barriers to developing environmental awareness. CONCLUSIONS, INNOVATIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS: The analysis confirms the thesis: the media can support care for the 'common home' in the spirit of Laudato si', provided that informational responsibility and ecological justice are upheld.
