Summary/Abstract: This article examines the emergence of monarchist cosmology within the Inochentist movement through a comparative analysis of two hagiographies of Hieromonk Inochentie of Balta, published in 1918 and 1924. One of the hagiographies examined in this study is a 1918 booklet recently discovered in a police investigation case file. By analysing the differences between these two hagiographies alongside archival documents, the article demonstrates how the 1917 Revolution, the emergence of a new border along the Dniester, the destruction of monastic centres, and the Revolution of the Russian Orthodox Church reshaped the sacred narratives of Inochentism within a short period of time.
