Summary/Abstract: Romanian as a foreign language has never been an easy language to learn for foreign students in terms of grammatical structures. However, a text written in Romanian is received differently depending on the level of understanding and knowledge accumulated by foreign students. The texts are adapted to difficulty levels, from A1 to C2, according to the CEFR, so that foreign students can improve their Romanian language level through reading. Therefore, a student with an A1 text reception level can read an A1+ text, maybe even A2, but from B1 onwards, understanding and deciphering the meaning are almost impossible. The correct choice of a text at the level appropriate to its reception by the foreign student allows not only to avoid the frustration of the foreign student who could not efficiently decipher a higher level of understanding of the text, but also to transform the respective text into an efficient and useful tool for developing communication skills.
