Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the important issue of intercultural communication in educational contexts, with particular emphasis on pedagogical work with adult refugees. The central focus of the analysis is Michael Agar's concept of "rich points," understood as a tool for identifying and interpreting cultural differences that emerge in everyday linguistic and social interactions. The author presents a broad theoretical foundation for intercultural communication, drawing on classical approaches by Edward Hall, Geert Hofstede, Milton Bennett, and Agar himself, as well as the contributions of Polish scholars specializing in intercultural education. The empirical section offers a case study analysis based on Polish language lessons conducted with adult refugees from Ukraine, highlighting specific instances of misunderstanding resulting from divergent cultural frameworks. The article not only diagnoses the sources of communicative difficulties but also proposes practical solutions - a set of didactic exercises designed to foster culturally sensitive communicative competence. Particular emphasis is placed on the importance of self-reflection, the recognition of stereotypes, and the construction of a "third perspective" - a shared space of understanding within intercultural education. The text constitutes a valuable contribution to the development of inclusive pedagogy and educational practice in migratory contexts.
