Threats to the future of Poland in the minds of academic youth. On the example of students of pedagogy at the University of Białystok

Summary/Abstract: Global events in recent years have influenced the perception of the world by young people. This also applies to students. An attempt was made to determine how the vision of the country's future is changing in the minds of students. For this purpose, the results of research conducted by Błażej Przybylski in 2020 were compared with the results of our own research. A catalogue of threats built by Przybylski was used. Then, a general threat index, called the pessimism-optimism index, was established and compared with a number of selected factors. Using regression analysis, a set of factors explaining the emergence of a pessimistic or optimistic vision of the future of Poland was established.
