Summary/Abstract: This case study presents the development and evolution of the mentoring practice for European Solidarity Corps (ESC) volunteers at Egyesek Youth Association. Since 2009, the organisation has hosted international volunteers and has gradually developed a complex, multi-layered support system. Initially, mentoring focused primarily on cultural integration; however, in recent years, the emphasis has shifted toward supporting individual learning journeys and addressing personal and mental challenges. The study outlines the methodological framework of mentoring, the distribution of organisational roles, and the key characteristics of the mentoring process. Special attention is given to emerging dilemmas and challenges, particularly the increasing need for mental health support among volunteers and the difficulties in recruiting and retaining mentors. The analysis highlights that mentoring is not a static method but an adaptive, evolving process shaped by the changing needs of participants.
