Summary/Abstract: The article concentrates on the relations existing between Iceland and the European Union. The author presents the history of the relations, underlining the process of adaptation of Iceland’s law and realization of the areas of negotiation within the scope of satisfying the accession-related requirements. He has essayed to prove the resulting influence of the political situation on Iceland in the aspect of the country’s accession to the Community.
