Summary/Abstract: In this study, I focus on the bibliometric analysis of studies on Ibn al-‘Arabī (d. 638/1240-one of the most prolific and influential figures in the history of Sufism-indexed in the Web of Science database. I aim to determine the current state of international academic studies on this figure and to identify the extent of Türkiye’s contribution to the field. Although numerous national and international academic studies have been published on Ibn al-‘Arabī, I observed that no bibliometric analysis of the international literature has yet been conducted. Aiming to contribute to the literature, I used both quantitative and qualitative methods. I analyzed data obtained from the WoS database using the Biblioshiny package in R Studio and evaluated the results through tables and graphs. In the findings section, I examine the distribution of studies on Ibn al-‘Arabī according to various metrics such as field, year, language, author, institution, country, journal, and citations. I found that Türkiye-based studies and journals are not at the forefront in any of the examined criteria. Although a large number of studies on Ibn al-‘Arabī have been conducted in Türkiye, a significant portion of these lacks international visibility. Furthermore, I observed that Türkiye-based publications suffer from a considerably low citation impact. In the conclusion section, I discuss the possible causes of these shortcomings and propose potential solutions.
