Summary/Abstract: This study aims to conduct the validity and reliability analyses of the Spiritual Healing Orientations Scale, which was developed to measure individuals’ New Age–based spiritual healing tendencies. These orientations, grounded in the theoretical and practical framework of New Age beliefs and practices, encompass various content domains such as self-spirituality, alternative healing practices, parapsychological–cosmic beliefs, transcendent mental experiences (e.g., telepathy, trance, family constellation), and ritualistic–sensory practices (e.g., incense, candles, spiritual music). By its nature, spiritual healing orientation possesses a holistic quality, incorporating practices that are often interwoven, mutually reinforcing, and collectively aimed at achieving healing and well-being. Therefore, although this orientation comprises different components, conceptualizing and measuring it as a holistic, healing-centered construct is both meaningful and appropriate. The purpose of this study is not to directly assess the New Age belief system itself, but rather to evaluate healing-oriented spiritual tendencies that are influenced by this worldview and manifested in the daily lives of some individuals. In this study, data collected from 408 participants were analyzed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). The results indicated that the scale consists of 23 items forming a single-factor structure, with factor loadings ranging from 0.64 to 0.91. The item–total correlations exceeding 0.64 and the internal consistency coefficients of Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.97 and McDonald’s Omega = 0.98 demonstrate a high level of reliability. This structure was further tested through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) conducted on a separate sample of 229 participants. The CFA results showed excellent model fit, with fit indices of CFI = 0.996, TLI = 0.996, RMSEA = 0.012, and SRMR = 0.060. Overall, the findings indicate that the Spiritual Healing Orientations Scale is a valid, reliable, and unidimensional measurement instrument.
