Summary/Abstract: The article presents the essence and the basic terminology for quality and food safety and nutrition. It was noted that both the quality and safety of food products can be considered in different categories, related to, among others: raw material, transport, the product (including food intended for current feeding and for war inventories), packaging, production process, quality assurance system, standardization and legislation, storage, marketing, training, traceability, research and development works, certification and quality acceptances, etc. The aim of the article is to show the role of logistics in ensuring food quality and nutrition in the Polish Armed Forces.
