Summary/Abstract: The mental health of art school students is a topic that is still rather on the fringes of interest in the Czech educational environment. At the same time, studying at a conservatory brings significant psychological burden to young people – pressure to perform, constant evaluation and working with one’s own emotions. However, the possibilities of systematic psychohygiene are not yet sufficiently developed at these schools. The article is based on research conducted among conservatory students, which examined how students themselves perceive the care of their psychological wellbeing. Special attention is paid to the possibilities of using drama therapy as a supportive method – not only for stress management, but also for the development of self-knowledge, self-expression and working with one’s own boundaries. The aim of the text is to point out the most common problems that students face and to offer an insight into how their mental health can be supported through drama and drama therapy methods. The results show that psychohygiene can play a crucial role in ensuring that students not only cope with the daily demands of studying but also find space for their personal growth.
