Summary/Abstract: The article presents the history of the landed estate at Snopków near Lublin and its owners from the end of the interwar era, through the Second World War, to the post-war period. The discussion of the estate's history in the final years of the Second Polish Republic is introductory. The themes explored in this study complement and significantly expand on the subject matter I addressed years ago in one of my books. This article examines the fate of the landed gentry through the example of a single estate and the experiences of a family that left a lasting mark on the history of the Lublin region, particularly in animal breeding. I believe this is justified because similar experiences were shared by all members of the landed gentry. The text is pretextual and, as a case study, contributes to discussion and comparative research.
