Summary/Abstract: This study examines the economic rationale for integrating national Occupational Safety and Health (OHS) regulatory systems with the international ISO 45001 standard in the manufacturing industry of Indonesia. Utilizing a qualitative approach, data were gathered through interviews, observations, focus group discussions, and document analysis in 2024 from 23 manufacturing industry stakeholders in Indonesia. Thematic analysis via NVivo software identified system integration as the central theme, underpinned by a strong positive correlation (r = 0.8997) between regulatory and international standards. The findings position the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle as an effective framework for this harmonization. The research concludes that strategic integration is not merely a compliance activity but a crucial investment. It enhances operational efficiency, mitigates risk, fosters a resilient safety culture, and ultimately strengthens a firm’s economic competitiveness in the global market.
