Summary/Abstract: The current issue of “Postscriptum Polonistyczne” is devoted to the presence of Polish literature beyond national borders and to the various forms of its functioning within the international circulation of culture. Most of the articles published in this volume originated as papers presented at the 9th International Conference Polish Literature in the World, while the remaining contributions further develop the research questions raised during the event. The contributors examine the reception, translation, and dissemination of Polish literature in diverse linguistic and cultural contexts. The volume includes studies on the reception of Stanisław Lem in Romania, the influence of Czesław Miłosz on contemporary Chinese poetry, the American reception of Miłosz’s dialogue with Robinson Jeffers, translations of 20th-century Polish literature in Ukrainian periodicals, and the presence of Polish literature in Lithuania and Italy. Further articles address the international reception of contemporary Polish authors, literary mediation and cultural transfer, as well as the role of literature in the teaching of Polish as a foreign language and intercultural communication. Particular attention is given to the role of translators, scholars, and institutions involved in international cultural transfer and in shaping the image of Polish literature abroad.
