Summary/Abstract: Reform in education is a process that expands like concentric circles, because changes in the field of science, technique and technology inevitably affect changes in the education system, where the end of one reform change means the beginning of another. Therefore, in the educational process, changes are inevitable and necessary, in order to talk about reaching the set level of quality based on the international studies of PISA, TIMSS and PIRLS. The paper emphasizes the paradigm shift in learning and teaching, putting the student at the center of the teaching process as well as learning outcomes, which is an essential change on which the current reform process is based. At the same time, the emphasis is on the continuous professional development of teachers, the input and output results of the teaching process, i.e. the results of the initial and external assessment of student achievements, and support for students through an additional form of work. In addition to all of the above, in parallel with the mentioned activities, curriculum modifications and enhancements are needed, in order to ultimately have indicators of the level of achievement planned in the first phase of the reform process - in the planning phase, which speaks of another round, which begins with planning and ends with evaluation.
