Summary/Abstract: This study investigates the applicability of the fuzzy soft set approach in personnel selection for critical positions such as flight operations specialists in the aviation sector. As the personnel selection process involves the evaluation of multiple subjective and conflicting criteria, decision support systems become essential. In this context, a dual-decision-maker structure involving the HR and operations managers of an airline company in Turkey was examined. Candidates were assessed based on four core criteria, and evaluations were conducted using both AND-product and OR-product fuzzy soft set algorithms. The results indicate that the AND-product method provides more consistent and distinct rankings. Furthermore, the application of fuzzy soft sets to this field for the first time is considered a significant contribution to the literature. This study is also notable for demonstrating the effectiveness of alternative approaches in multi-criteria decision-making processes.
