FROM SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE TO THE PATIENT: HUMANITY, EVIDENCE-BASED MEDICINE AND SUSTAINABLE HEALTH CARE IN EMERGENCIES

Summary/Abstract: The emergencies often require making critical decisions in a short period of time, with limited information and unforeseen circumstances, accompanied by panic, fear and shock. This study examines the role of enduring values and knowledge transfer in health care in emergencies. In the context of increasing health crises, sustainable development of health systems requires not only innovative scientific solutions, but also the preservation of core professional and ethical values such as humanity, responsibility and solidarity. This report is developed through a narrative literature review with qualitative thematic analysis aimed at exploring the role of enduring values and knowledge transfer in healthcare and nursing in emergencies. The approach allows for the synthesis and interpretation of contemporary scientific publications, taking into account the interdisciplinary nature of the topic and its practical relevance for healthcare professionals. It analyzes the importance of evidence based medicine and continuous professional education for the effective transfer of knowledge from research to clinical practice and patient care. The results of this literature review demonstrate that the transfer of scientific knowledge and the maintenance of enduring professional values in nursing practice are critical factors for the effective functioning of health care in emergency situations. It emphasizes the need for an integrated approach to support the adaptability and resilience of health systems in emergencies
