Summary/Abstract: The contemporary school, despite its declared mission to prepare young people for life in a dynamically changing world, largelymaintains a traditional model of reproducing knowledge and social patterns. In the conditions of “liquid modernity,” youngpeople experience a sense of entanglement within family, educational, and social structures, which limits their autonomy andagency. The aim of the article is to analyze the mechanisms of reproducing entanglements in the educational system, withparticular emphasis on Generation Z, and to present the concept of the Graduate Profile for primary and secondary schools asan emancipatory tool. The theoretical foundation of the analysis lies in systemic psychology and postmodern sociology, whichpoint to the risks associated with the lack of individual autonomy and maladaptive patterns. An examination of contemporaryyouth studies highlights the growing dependence on technology, a decline in mental health, low levels of physical activity, and the dominance of “teaching to the test” culture. Empirical data show that young people report a lack of independence,a mismatch between school curricula and everyday life, as well as the need to develop future skills such as critical thinking, creativity, and self-regulation. The Graduate Profile, based on fundamental, transversal competencies and agency, is indicatedas a tool capable of counteracting entanglement and supporting student emancipation. The article argues that the GraduateProfile, currently being introduced into Polish education, may fulfill an emancipatory function if implemented consistentlyand supported systemically. This opens the possibility of building a school that not only transmits knowledge but also fosterssubjectivity, critical reflection, and prepares students for independent functioning in a world of uncertainty and change. Keywords: Graduate Profile, agency, future skills, postmodernity, entanglement, emancipation.
