Physical activity of third grade primary school pupils in Podlaskie Voivodeship in leisure time

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to present the characteristics of physical activity of third-grade primary school pupils in Podlaskie Voivodeship. A total of 189 third-grade primary school pupils took part in the questionnaire study. 39.68% of the study population were boys (N= 75), 60.32% were girls (N= 114). The most frequently chosen leisure time activities on weekdays among girls are sports activities – cycling, rollerblading, scooter riding and social activities – playing with siblings, helping with housework. Boys dominate in watching TV, playing computer games, and playing football. On weekends, both girls and boys spend more time watching TV and using the internet than on physical activities.
