Summary/Abstract: Academic achievement is influenced by family, social, and economic factors that shape students' educational opportunities. This study examines the factors associated with academic achievement among 189 lower secondary school students from Bihor County, Romania. Data were collected through a questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, principal component analysis, and multiple linear regression. The findings show that parental educational attainment is more strongly associated with academic achievement than students' perceived family financial situation. Four latent factors were identified, emerging as significant predictors of academic achievement. Although the regression model explained a moderate proportion of the variance, the results highlight the importance of family cultural and social capital, parental involvement, positive peer relationships, and a safe school environment. The findings support previous research emphasizing the role of family and school partnerships in promoting academic success and reducing educational inequalities
