Summary/Abstract: This article aims to analyze the reformulation marker gen in contemporary romanian. It seeks to identify and conduct a semantic and pragmatic analysis of the adverbial function that this originally common noun acquires in specific communicative contexts, thereby delineating various pragma-discursive values that shape the organization and comprehension of non-standard discourse. The connector in question primarily serves to structure discourse and signal the reformulation of a preceding utterance - or a specific term within it - thereby facilitating a clearer decoding of the message.
