Summary/Abstract: The General Census of the Romanian Population of December 29, 1930 is one of the most important statistical sources for the study of the demographic, ethnic, linguistic and confessional structure of interwar Romania. This study uses the census data to reconstruct the demographic, linguistic and socio-professional profile of the Jewish population in Dobruja, with particular attention to the counties of Constanța and Tulcea. Beyond the descriptive reconstruction of numerical distributions, the article examines the way in which census categories – ethnicity, religion, mother tongue and occupation – shaped the institutional representation of a minority community. The analysis shows that Dobrujan Jews formed a numerically small but structurally distinctive group, characterized by an exceptionally high degree of urbanization, a polycentric geographical distribution, linguistic diversity and a strong concentration in commercial and urban occupations. The partial non-overlap between the ethnic, religious and linguistic criteria is interpreted not as a mere statistical inconsistency, but as an indicator of identity plurality, social mobility and regional adaptation within a multiethnic province. By integrating statistical data into a historical and methodological framework, the study highlights both the representativeness and the limits of the 1930 census as a source for understanding minority identities in Greater Romania.
