Summary/Abstract: Eurozone’s countries are still facing the problem how to invigorate the economic growth of national economies. One of the interesting questions concerns the impact of military expenditure on economic growth. The aim of the paper was to check whether defense spending in Eurozone countries has a noticeable impact on economic growth. Empirical analysis was based on the Granger causality test. It was proved that military expenses affect economic growth, but only in case of some scrutinized economies (four out eight included in the sample), regardless of the scale of their military spending in national budgets.
