Summary/Abstract: This study examines the cosmic dimension of the Church in Hans Urs von Balthasar’s interpretation of Saint Maximus the Confessor. It highlights the Logos's role as the personal principle of creation, revelation, Scripture, and ecclesial life. The Church is presented as the living body of the Logos, where truth becomes sacramental life, liturgical participation, and communion. Special attention is given to Balthasar’s reading of the Maximian synthesis between Evagrian contemplative interiority and Dionysian sacramental hierarchy. The study also analyzes agape as the inner form of ecclesial unity, reflecting the Trinitarian communion and gathering personal diversity into a living order of love. The sacramental structure of the Church, especially Baptism and the Eucharist, is interpreted through the Christological transparency of ecclesial hierarchy. Finally, the article explores the analogy between Church and cosmos: the Church appears as a liturgical universe. At the same time, creation is understood as a cosmic Church guided by Christ the Logos and High Priest.
