Summary/Abstract: The analysis of the «Russian» entries in the second version of the Russian Chronicle, it being the only source which provides information on the Seven Boyars’ Rule — the system of government formed after Vassily Shuysky’s deposition, — buttresses the reliability of this evidence as regards the earliest of Muscovy’s inter-reign years, whose opening stage dates back to the mid-summer of 1610.
