Summary/Abstract: This paper addresses the issue of the perception of attested monuments of the Bosnian language and their presentation in educational institutions in Montenegro, within a system in which the Bosnian language is recognized as one of the official languages in Montenegrin education. The aim of the paper is to provide a scholarly introduction to documents that were created, discovered, or are located in the territory of present-day Montenegro, which confirm the use of the Bosnian language, both at the level of its nomination and at the level of established linguistic features belonging to the corpus of Bosnian monuments identified by scholarship to date, as well as documents in other languages that attest to the presence of the Bosnian language in the given area. In this regard, it is important to emphasize that the continuity of such monuments can be traced from the Middle Ages to the present day; therefore, the classification of these monuments will be carried out according to established criteria that will be presented in the paper itself. The objective of the study is also reflected in the effort to ensure that this material is more adequately represented in educational institutions where there is interest in learning and studying the Bosnian language.
