Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the effects of an educational intervention program based on counseling techniques on educational identity processes among high school adolescents. Grounded in Self-Determination Theory and contemporary process-oriented models of identity development, the study focuses on educational commitment, in-depth exploration, and reconsideration of commitment as key dimensions of educational identity. The intervention was implemented within the school context and targeted adolescents at a critical stage of educational decision-making.Using a quasi-experimental longitudinal, data were collected before and after the implementation of the counseling-based program, with the research group serving as the focal variable of analysis. The results indicate significant increases in educational commitment and in-depth exploration following participation in the intervention, suggesting that structured counseling activities can facilitate adolescents’ reflective engagement with educational goals and choices. From an applied perspective, the findings highlight the value of counseling-based educational programs in supporting adaptive identity development, academic engagement, and informed educational decision-making. The study underscores the importance of implementing identity-focused interventions prior to key educational transitions, in order to enhance adolescents’ self-regulation, sense of meaning, and long-term educational adjustment. Methodologically, the research contributes empirical evidence regarding the effectiveness of counseling interventions in fostering educational identity processes, with relevant implications for school counseling practice and educational policy.
