Summary/Abstract: The novels of the 1960s generation are political parables making use of modern techniques, with a strong subversive dimension, with multiple intertextual references. The worlds built by this generation revolve around the fates of misfits who are trying to escape the terror of history. Reading/writing as a fundamental existential dimension is one of their favourite ways of countering historical evil.
