Summary/Abstract: This study investigates the profound mutations that the digital age imprints on daily communication in Romanian, aiming to reconfigure vocabulary, style and grammatical structures. The research focuses on the mechanisms of adaptation to the online environment, including the infusion of foreign neologisms, the emergence of novel expressions and the redefinition of public and private discourse under the influence of social networks. By combining qualitative and quantitative methods of analysis, the authors capture the vectors of evolution of the contemporary Romanian language. Finally, the paper sounds the alarm and emphasizes the importance of updating educational strategies, in order to cultivate a correct, adapted, but conscious digital expression.
