THE REPRESENTATION OF JUDIT RAFFAI’S CULTURAL AND SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATIONAL ACTIVITIES IN THE “MAGYAR SZÓ” NEWSPAPER (1990–2012) – PART I

Summary/Abstract: This paper aims to present the cultural and scientific organiza- tional activities of Dr Judit Raffai (1966–2025) between 1990 and 2012. The primary sources of our study are articles, reports, and news items published during this period in the Vojvodina Hungarian daily newspaper “Magyar Szó”. Access to the digitized and online available issues of the newspaper was ob- tained through the Periodicals Collection of the Vojvodina Hungarian Digital Archive (Vamadia) and the Arcanum database by searching for the keywords “Judit Raffai”. Beyond commemorating her life and work, the purpose of this overview is to draw attention to the cultural and scientific organizational ac- tivities, as well as the pedagogical approach already taking shape during this period, that preceded her appointment to the Subotica based Hungarian Lan- guage Teacher Training Faculty of the University of Novi Sad in 2013 and her subsequent career in higher education. The study seeks to explore how these experiences were later incorporated into her academic and teaching career.
