NATIONAL POLICE OF UKRAINE AND THE POLISH POLICE: CHALLENGES DURING THE WAR IN UKRAINE - SELECTED PROBLEMS

Summary/Abstract: This author outlines the main challenges faced by the National Police of Ukraine (NPU), operating under extremely difficult wartime conditions. She also discusses the NPU's role in sustaining Ukrainian statehood and the activities of the Polish Police in response to the evolving external environment, as well as the support provided to the NPU to enhance its competencies and capabilities. The challenges, which by law concern mainly security and public order, are gradually taking on an international dimension, regardless of the ongoing armed conflict. In the contemporary context, there is an urgent need for sharing experience and data, as well as for intensified joint operational and investigative activities, particularly in combating organized crime and terrorist threats. This article is based on an analysis of selected literature, including online resources, such as accounts and interviews, and employs the methods of deduction, induction and synthesis.
