Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the phonetic features of the southwestern Bulgarian dialect of Boboshtitsa, reflected in the letters of Andromaqi Koço (a female teacher born in the village of Boboshtitsa /Boboshticë/) to the Canadian-born Bulgarian Larry Koroloff (one of the co-authors of the article), in the period between 1995 and 1999. At the beginning, the authors present the so-far-known research on the Boboshtitsa dialect and especially on its phonetics. Further, they analyze the phonetic features presented in the above-mentioned letters comparing them with previously known data.
