Impact of Logistic Infrastructure Selected Elements on the Efficiency of Air Transport

Summary/Abstract: Air transport is the most dynamically developing branch of transport. However, due to the high costs of means of transport, infrastructure and fuel, complicated service and safety procedures, it is also one of the most expensive. The carrier’s objective is to take measures to minimize their own costs and maximize profits. In air transport, these activities are reduced to changes in the field of transport infrastructure, i.e. introduction of modern, less fuel- consuming aircrafts that are able to take more passengers or cargo on board and simplification or shortening of service procedures in the time regime.
