Summary/Abstract: The article investigates the development and implementation of distance learning at the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography. The Academy had initiated a gradual introduction of digital and remote learning practices prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, which significantly mitigated the impact of global restrictions and ensured continuity of the educational process. Particular attention is given to the comparative analysis of approaches adopted at the Moscow State Academy of Choreography and the Beijing Dance Academy, which provide valuable contextual insights into the transformation of dance education under digital conditions. At the Kazakh National Academy of Choreography, faculty members systematically record lectures, practical classes, monographs, and scholarly works, thereby establishing a sustainable digital archive that extends beyond immediate instruction. The findings underscore the role of early institutional adaptation, documentation practices, and international exchange in advancing distance learning models within higher dance education.
